During this six week course a select group of volunteers will learn how to teach shelter dogs all about canine scent work!  Because canine nose work is such a mentally stimulating activity (and not terribly physical), we will be focusing on our dogs who are either fearful or heartworm positive.

Volunteers must have a confirmed reservation to participate in this course and the number of volunteers who will be able to participate is very limited.

Prerequisites include attendance at a volunteer orientation, completion of basic service hours, completion of Pooch Essentials Class and completion of Canine Body Language Class. This is a great opportunity to improve and enrich the lives of shelter dogs as well as learn fun new ways to interact with your own dogs!
