Dine to Be Kind

Shake off the cold and warm up your heart by helping save pets in our community! All you have to do is to eat, drink and be merry at one of the dozens of restaurants participating in the 14th Annual Dine To Be Kind, presented by Dr. David Crouch and Western Carolina Veterinary Surgery. On March 7th, dine out for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner (Take Out included!) and 15% or more of your bill will be donated to the lifesaving programs of Asheville Humane Society. 

Birthday Bash for Dr. David Crouch

Come celebrate celebrity veterinarian, Dr. David Crouch with famous adopted pup, Roscoe at Beef O' Brady's (2625 Hendersonville Road, 28704) on June 19 from 4-6pm! There will be good food, good friends, live music, and a full bar! Socially distanced outdoor seating will be available!
Please bring a pet food or supply donation!
Proceeds will benefit Charlie's Angles Animal Rescue and Asheville Humane Society!

Shelter To Service: Service Dog Info Session for Shelter Dogs

Where: Asheville Humane Society's Education Room, 14 Forever Friend Ln., Asheville, NC 28806

Asheville Humane Society and Paws & Effect are working collaboratively to establish a Shelter to Service program in our community. Shelter dogs selected to participate in this effort will be supported and trained to determine their suitability to become therapy, facility and service dogs. We are seeking foster homes to commit to approximately a six month period, which will include weekly classes and regular meetings.

Cat Café with Author of "Fearless Felines"

On Thursday, December 19, Asheville Humane Society is hosting a Cat Café in the Education Room of their Adoption Center (14 Forever Friend Lane) with special guest Kimberlie Hamilton, author of “Fearless Felines: 30 True Tales of Courageous Cats.” For a $10 donation, you will have one hour of kitty cuddle time and a complimentary, non-alchoholic beverage, with all proceeds benefiting AHS!

New 13 Pet Project

Join News 13 at Camp Bow Wow (5 Airport Road) for their 3rd Annual News 13 Pet Project on October 11! They are partnering with eleven local humane societies/rescue groups, including AHS, to help animals in our area find forever homes! 

The adoptable animals will be there from 9:00am-6:00pm. News 13 will also be collecting pet food, pet supplies, cleaning supplies & monetary donations for all of the local rescues that day. For every adoption or donation, you will be entered to win a $150 Ingles gift card!

Pawty with a Purpose

Join Asheville's Dream Team as they raise funds for Asheville Humane Society in the Daphne Room at Twisted Laurel downtown Asheville. There will be vacation & stay-cation silent auction packages, various raffles, and more. Tasting tickets are $50 and include 3 tastings with 2 oz beverage pours. The tasting tickets also include access to light bites and there is a cash bar for additional drinks. If you are not interested in the tasting option, there is also a $20 "social ticket" which includes one beer/wine and will give you access to the light bites and cash bar.
