FAQs
Your questions are all important, and we are committed to addressing each of them as thoroughly as possible. Please rest assured that we are doing everything within our capacity to support the well-being of our animals, your animals, and our broader community.
We are currently prioritizing monetary donations to help us prepare for the influx of animals we expect in the coming months. You can donate directly here or via Venmo at @ashevillehumane.
If you have in-kind donations, we encourage you to contact local shelters and rescue organizations or drop them off at designated distribution centers such as fire stations, churches, or community centers in your area. Localized distribution is crucial, especially for individuals who are unable to travel long distances.
We were fortunate to evacuate all of our animals eligible for adoption to safe shelters/rescues across the region. Due to this, we do not need fosters immediately but encourage you to apply at our website to foster in the future.
You can report your pet missing here.
Please do everything you can to shelter/feed/water the animal in your home or between members of your community. We can provide you with food and whatever resources you need. You can report the animal found here.
We’re accepting new volunteers and presenting opportunities to help at our volunteer Facebook page here.
