Timber is a "Velcro" dog, always close by your side. He loves snuggles, being brushed and tummy rubs. When introduced to other dogs he is cautious at first but when comfortable he loves to play. He is a good walking buddy and will run beside you. He loves exploring the outdoors. He does well on a lead. He alerts when someone drives up or comes to the door. He is very intelligent and learns quickly. He does not do well with chickens or cats. Timber is a herding breed and should be watched with children until you see how he will react.

Loud noises. He is a herding breed, he has "nipped" my husband. Once before my son's dog and I were playing "tug-a-war" my sons dogs always makes growling noise when he plays. Timber thought he was attacking me and bite him. It was not a significant injury.

at first the crate now any where he wants except in our bed.

He loves to ride in the car especially if he gets the window seat and fresh air.
